March has been exceptionally busy with trials for my 2016 brides wedding hair. I’ve had the privilege of meeting some wonderful brides, bridesmaids and mother of the brides creating their dream wedding hair styles.
Some brides have a very clear idea of the wedding hairstyle they want and others have no idea of how they want their hair. I always start all trials with a thorough consultation which takes into account:
The wedding dress
The wedding venue
Wedding Date (time of year)
Brides hair type
The types of styles the bride likes
Once I feel I have an idea of what the bridal party want I then start to create the styles, I usually start down and take the hair up until the desired look is achieved. When the bride knows exactly what she wants I will create her chosen look initially and then make ‘tweaks’ until it’s perfect.
During the trial I will take photos of the style and make notes so that I can recreate the chosen hairstyle on the wedding day.
I carry a wide range of hair accessories to try out, hire or buy. This is often the best way to try out with your chosen hairstyle as when you purchase these before your trial they may not be the most suitable for your style.

Last week I had the pleasure of working with Team Glam styling the models for the Berta Trunk Show at The Wedding Club in Knightsbride, London. I styled 6 of the models hair who all looked amazing in their Berta bridal gowns.
This event was the 1st showing in the UK of Berta's 2016 bridal range and was an invite only event for all the high end wedding planners, wedding photographers & wedding stylists from London, Essex, Berkshire & Oxfordshire. It was a great opportunity to meet these guys and we have some great things planned for the future so watch this space!!

Happy New Year!!
I had the privilege of working with many brides at some of Essex’s premier wedding venues where I styled the bride, bridesmaids and mother of the brides hair for their wedding day. I met some amazing brides and look forward to meeting many more during 2016 when I style their bridal hair.
I have also been working closely with Team Glam on bridal photoshoots in Essex & London, styling real brides on their wedding day and building relationships with some amazing venues and suppliers. We are now the recommended wedding Hair & Makeup team for Boreham House which is one of the premier venues in Essex.

I recently took part in a mini shoot for Teamglam working alongside Carla Brooks MUA and Anna-Marie Cooper Photographer at That Amazing Place. We wanted to create some beautiful soft bridal hair and makeup images and knew that Anna's style of photography would be perfect to achieve the desired images. Once we had decided on what we wanted to achieve we then needed to source wedding dresses and accesories, we already had a contact at Percy & Flo who produced the perfect accessories but what we hadn’t realized was that they also had a sister company called Kitty and Dulcie who were bridal designers! We therefore picked 2 dresses and Flo and Percy provided us with the accessories they felt were most suited. I styled Steph’s hair with loose waves which is a perfect bridal look and teamed it with a floral lace headband and then for a second look created a soft top bun hairstyle with a gold fine hairvine. For Rebeka I added my human hair extensions and created a soft curled updo which is perfect for any bride. I hope you like the pictures

Spring is such an amazing time for weddings and I've had the privilege of styling a few Essex Brides in April.
Jo chose a classic half up half down style with loose curls for her wedding day in Goldhanger, Essex and elected to hire a set of my hair expensions to give her both extra length and volume. She wore a classic strapless bridal gown for her church wedding. Jo loved the extensions so much that she has now asked me to make her a set.
I also styled and cut Jo's mum's hair in a classic bob and gave her young daughter a frozen inspired plaited hairstyle.

On 4th April I styled the hair of bride Helen who was the 1st bride to get married at That Amazing Place in Harlow Essex. I worked alongside Carla Brooks Make Up Artist who works with me as part of Teamglam. We are proud of our relationship with That Amazing Place who are very supportive of us and what we do, we had our first ever Teamglam photoshoot here and they recommend our services to all their brdies for hair and make up.
Helen had absolutely no idea of how she wanted her her very long hair and even up to 30 minutes before the service she was still debating on whether to wear her hair up or down! In the end she wore her hair in a bun as she always wore her hair up and felt the most comfortable with it this way.

The wedding season has really started now for Essex brides and I have had a lot of enquiries for wedding hair over the past week, unfortunately I'm now fully booked for Saturdays in the summer so have needed to disappoint some brides who have wanted to book me to style their hair for their wedding. As soon as you have your date booked get your wedding hair booked too to avoid disappointment.
I'm now meeting lots of my summer brides for their wedding hair trials, I love creating beautiful wedding hair for the brides of Essex and seeing their faces when they see the look I have created for them. I can't wait to see them again on their wedding day.
My new range of accessories from Dee Neicho is proving to be really popular and brides love the fact that every piece is individual and can be tailored to the bride’s own requirements. They are also lightweight so really comfortable to wear all day.

Tomorrow I'm off to Mulberry House Wedding Open Day where I'll be representing Teamglam on hair with Carla Brooks on makeup.
The theme for the day is breakfast at tiffany's so I'll be stying hair fitting of the era, there'll definitely be a beaufiful updo! They are expecting around 50 brides through the door and we'll be set up in the bridal preparation area.
I look forward to meeting some Essex brides and chatting about hairstyles for their wedding day, having your hair professionally done for your wedding can make such a huge difference to your photos of your wedding day.

Last week I spent the day with fellow members of Teamglam and photographer Stormy from Rebel & Romance in a penthouse at Canary Wharf. It was our latest collaborative shoot and this time we ventured in the often misunderstood and misrepresented world of boudoir photoraphy.
We wanted the shoot to be beautiful and definitely not tacky! We kept within the bridal and wedding theme which we specialise in to keep the look soft and styled by brides hair in soft curls. I would definietely recommend brides of Essex consider having a boudior shoot prior to theit weddings and getting Teamglam in for hair & makeup. Here are a couple of my shots to give a little taster of what we achieved and as soon as the offical photos are available I'll be uodating the blog.
